BRASILIA (Health & Fitness Journal) – Brazil’s President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will on Friday announce the new CEOs of state oil company Petrobras, state-controlled lender Banco do Brasil and state lender Caixa Economica Federal, new Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said on Thursday .
Brazilian Senator Jean Prates of Lula’s Worker Party is set to become Petrobras’ new CEO, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
The Workers Party did not comment on the matter.
Prates has been in the energy sector for more than 25 years and has helped Petrobras increase its investments in renewable energy and also in refining for energy security.
The senator also questioned Petrobras’ current pricing policy, which is aligned with international market practice.
