Hackers are siphoning $8 million in assets from Bitkeep wallets in Cointelegraph’s latest DeFi exploit

While many are still enjoying the holiday season, hackers are hard at work, siphoning around $8 million in an ongoing BitKeep wallet exploit.

On December 26, some users of the multichain crypto wallet BitKeep reported that their funds were being withdrawn and transferred while not using their wallets. In their official Telegram group, BitKeep team confirmed that some APK package downloads were hijacked by some attackers and installed with code implanted by hackers. They write:
