Due to time constraints, the CA panel is suspending the hearing on Bautista’s appointment as DOTr chief
(Eagle News) – A panel of the Nominations Committee suspended deliberations on the ad interim appointment of Jaime Bautista as transport chief.
The closure was due to time constraints.
CA Majority Leader and Camarines Sur Representative Luis Raymund Villafuerte said some lawmakers still wanted to question Bautista, but another CA committee was also ready to discuss the appointment of at least 61 State Department diplomats.
Previously, deliberations on Bautista’s appointment were ongoing on Wednesday, December 7th, until Camarines Norte was hit by a 5.3 magnitude quake, prompting an order to close the building where the deliberations were taking place for security reasons clear.
The CA Panel hearing is rescheduled for next week.
